It was 1975 when the 2 Directors of Kilparra first met, a day they both remember and laugh about as they reflect on their decades of friendship.
On completion of their senior schooling both directors branched out into the trade world to successfully complete trade qualifications in 2 different disciplines.
Shane completed a Carpentry Building apprenticeship to which he still works today. Having now been involved in 100’s of building projects, Shane’s portfolio of experience covers all aspects of building and construction from single unit construction to multi-storey communities, large commercial sites and developments.
Shane and Neale first joined as business partners in 2004 when they were involved in a hotel business. They then formed a construction company - Mactate Pty Ltd. This company specialised in construction of Gated Communities to which there are now several positioned across the Mornington Peninsula. In expanding the diversity of construction portfolios another company Milgate Pty Ltd was formed, which specialised in Commercial Factories. This company has successfully constructed several factories within the Mornington area.
Both Shane and Neale’s hearts are here on the Mornington Peninsula with Shane and his family having been actively involved within the Mornington Life Saving organisation for decades. Shane is now a life member of the organisation and can often be found down on the sandy beaches coaching and supporting the young members of the community. When Neale and Shane are not working together on future projects Neale enjoys spending time on his small peninsula farm with his many grandchildren. Neale has a passion for old motorbikes which still has him and his family racing today.
Kilparra is the dream of 2 life long best friends to construct something new and unique to the Mornington Peninsula. Kilparra will be a multifaceted center that supports a multitude of different business and pleasure opportunities at the gateway to Mornington.
